Artisans on a Mission

Calling all artists, artisans, crafters, and general creative types! This group uses their God-given creative abilities to live out a call to service. Works of art and hand-crafted items are donated and sold through the St. John’s booth at the Annual Cooper Young Festival in Midtown Memphis. Proceeds have been used to help “green” our soup kitchen, to provide energy-saving light bulbs for our neighbors, and to support our new recovery ministry.

We now have a permanent store to sell the artists' work.

Little Artisans on a Mission

Our children have discovered their own way to creatively fund mission and ministry. Following the adult lead, our St. John’s kids spend the Sunday School hour during the summer months making arts and crafts of every shape and size, led by many of the creative and talented members of our Church. At the end of the summer, the kids host an art sale, and the proceeds go to support a local ministry for children.

Summer of 2010 our Little Artisans gifted Perea Pre-School (a ministry of the Church Health Center) $389 to go toward new equipment for their activity room.
