Children's Sunday School

Each Sunday, we gather in room 300 (the room above the choir room) at 9:30am for music time together before splitting up to go to our classrooms. Children ages 3 through 2nd grade will continue the Deep Blue curriculum we started last year, which help kids discover key Bible stories through fun activities, as well as how kids can be in mission with other children around the world. Our 3rd through 5th graders will be following An Illustrated Compassion, which uses art and service projects to discover how God can lead us to live with love and compassion.

Parents' Night Out

Children ages 3-12 are invited to join us on the third Wednesday of every month during the school year for Parent's Night Out! The kids will enjoy dinner together, music, and art, all while parent get to spend an hour and a half being adults! We hope you will invite your children's friends to join us as well. See Rebekah Gienapp if you need a signed release form for your child or their friends. The nursery will also be open during this time to give parents the option to bring their tiniest family members under the age of three as well.

St. John’s is especially blessed to have a faithful and dependable team of nursery workers on staff. We offer nursery services to our littlest members, from ages six weeks to five years young. The nursery is a safe and welcoming place where children can play and learn while their parents and guardians participate in worship or other church functions. Because the safety of children is our most important concern, we abide by practices outlined in our Safe Sanctuary policy. The nursery is open Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and as needed during other church programming.
