The Way

What:  The Way is a service of recovery, one based on the beatitudes and the 12 Steps, and one fully embracing recovery in every sense of the word. We’re all in recovery. We’ve all got a God-sized hole in our hearts. Hence, this service is for everyone.

When:   Every Friday at 6pm. We also have small group studies on Wednesday nights at 5:30pm at St. John’s. John leads a Twelve Step Study (Room 205) and Nina Gourley and Carolyn Moore lead a Body & Soul Group (Room 305). Malcolm Levi also leads a Meditation Group on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. (Room 205).

Where:   St. John’s UMC

Why:   To enhance the spiritual component of recovery. Through music, fellowship, discussing the 12 steps, and intentionally embracing the Gospel as the good news that it is, we on The Way offer hope and spiritual discipline to everyone as we faithfully respond to God’s ineluctable grace. We also offer homemade desserts along with various and sundry snacks and coffee!

Who:   YOU! And bring a friend.
