Youth Ministries in COVID19
While we will keep an eye out for Covid to decrease, the youth group will not be meeting at this time. Please contact Alan Butler(abutler [at] stjohnsmidtown [dot] org) to receive more information about getting your youth involved at St. John's.
Sunday School
The youth will be following the UMC Discipleship youth lessons. These lessons go along with the lectionary throughout the year. During our Sunday school hour we will have an ice-breaker to open up the discussion, followed by scripture reading and study, then we will have an activity, will discuss the real world application for what was learned. All lessons will be opened and closed with prayer. All students grades 6-12 are welcome.
The Youth Group at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Midtown Memphis, affirms Christ’s call to engage in ministries that bring reconciliation and wholeness to all persons.
Our hearts, minds, and doors are always open to individuals of all races, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, theological identities, economic status, disabilities, and those in recovery and those who are willing to be in recovery.
We strive to be a community of spiritual growth that reflects compassion towards all God’s children, engaging in prophetic and pastoral outreach to Church and society.
The St. John's Youth Group is a Reconciling Community of Reconciling Ministries Network.
