LGBTQI+

St. John’s United Methodist Church is a Reconciling congregation, meaning that we are a Christian community where LGBTQI+ people are celebrated and welcomed.  Our commitment is grounded in our baptismal vow to seek justice and resist evil in whatever forms it presents itself.  Homophobia, transphobia, or xenophobia of any kind has no place in the church!

The language in St. John’s welcome statement is a faithful expression of our decision to work for inclusion and peace with justice in the church and in the world.  We are a faithful people hopeful for transformed hearts, reconciled spirits, and changed communities.
