Rev. Mimi White
Mimi graduated from the University of Memphis and majored in Business and Real Estate. She won an award for a book she wrote entitled: Knowing Your Client through Body Language, Birth Order and Personality Type. She has since worked in the medical industry, the pet industry, the arts industry, taught children, has been a corporate trainer for Medtronic and career counselor for executives. She administered the Myers-Briggs daily to help people find vocations that fit their calling. Mimi has been singing in oldies, rock and blues bands for 17 years - but says all of this began to lose its appeal when she realized she was put here to serve others and God. After entering seminary, she began leading a Formation for Ministry class for first year students, has served as a Hospice Chaplain for Crossroads Hospice, and Intern Chaplain for the VA, and has served in the Kairos Prison Ministry. She graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity, and a Certification in Wesleyan Studies from the Methodist House of Studies. Additionally, she is trained in Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Behavioral Health.
She is married to Rob, who loves photography and the outdoors. Mimi loves live music, kayaking, gardening and painting. Their lives have involved raising an outstanding teenager, four chickens, two dogs, one cat, and helping others in recovery every chance they get. Now Mimi is thrilled to be able to serve at St. John’s.
